“Give Where You Live” with Westerville Area Resource Ministry (WARM)

Worthington home new roof

This week we’d like to highlight the inspired work of Westerville Area Resource Ministry (WARM), a local non-profit that we support and encourage our neighbors to support this holiday season!

WARM is a faith-based organization that serves the 52-square-mile area that makes up the Westerville School District. In addition to short-term food assistance, WARM clients receive job and life skills to aid them on the journey towards a life of God-reliant self-sufficiency. Year to date, WARM has served 11,477 individuals and 4,030 families!

Offering a Hand Up, Not a Hand Out

2015 marked WARM’s largest distribution year in history. A new facility at 150 Heatherdown Drive has allowed the group to significantly increase its ability to serve those who are hungry. One in six Ohioans faces food insecurity every day. WARM volunteers work to see that clients reach self-sufficiency, while being fed physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually during their time at WARM. For them, it’s not just about feeding people, it’s about “Offering a Hand Up, Not a Hand Out.”

This holiday, WARM is especially in need of the following pantry items.

  • Fresh fruit
  • Fresh vegetables
  • Tomato products
  • Rice sides
  • Granola bars
  • Deodorant
  • Toothpaste

We invite you to join us and WARM in the fight against hunger. For every dollar you give, WARM is able to provide four meals to our neighbors who are in most need. To donate, visit www.warmwesterville.org, or call (614) 899-0196 to learn more about volunteer opportunities with WARM.
