The holidays are all about spending time with the people you love and having fun with family and friends. Here are some of our favorite activities you and your family can try out. Let us know what your family enjoys doing around town this time of year.
Hit the Slopes
Chad Muth loves that whoosh! The sound of spraying snow is like music to his ears. What a great way for the whole family to get out of the house (away from screens) and out into the crisp winter air for some fun and exercise! If skiing seems too risky, zoom down the mountain in a snow tube for the big thrill minus the work. Two of Chad’s favorite ski resorts are Snow Trails near Mansfield, Ohio and Mad River Mountain in Zanesfield, Ohio.
Jump and Sweat
If your family doesn’t love to brave the elements, Muth’s Vice President, Tye Lang suggests taking kids of all ages to jump the day away at Sky Zone, an indoor trampoline park in Lewis Center, Ohio. Bounce, flip and get airborne on this giant trampoline paradise. It’s a ton of fun and fantastic exercise.
Columbus Comedy
A recent trek downtown found Chad and Gina with Production Manager John Righter and his wife, Tricia at the Shadowbox for Holiday Hoopla XX. Leave the kids at home for this one and be prepared for serious laughs.
Shop Till You Drop
Movies, shopping and grabbing a meal at local favorite shopping centers Polaris and Easton Towne Center makes for a great family outing. California Pizza Kitchen and B.D.’s Mongolian Grill are a couple of yummy choices for refueling.
Cookie Monsters Unite
What’s a holiday without sweet treats? Gina Muth recently attended an annual cookie exchange where a dozen friends brought 6 dozen cookies each. They divvy up the treats so that everyone takes home a variety package of 6 dozen cookies. Chad favorites are Chinese New Year cookies and Gina’s are Raspberry thumbprint cookies.
Bring on 2012
It’s a very Muth Christmas with old school board games and great food at home. Scattergories, Pictionary, Monopoly and other board games take center stage for a multi-generational party with a competitive twist. The Muth family rings in the New Year with all night bowling. Who will have a harder time staying awake past midnight…the little ones or the old folks? (And we won’t even discuss who gets cranky first!)
We’d love to know what your family’s favorite holiday and winter activities are. Please share them with us. We might even quote you in an upcoming post.
The Muth Family wishes you and your family a very happy holiday! May 2012 be the year that brings, peace, love and happiness to all!
